Increase your #webpresence #Reblogged Part 2: 89+ Book Marketing Ideas That Will…
Part 2: Building your fan base:
I recently found a post on 89+ book marketing ideas and posted part 1 to this series. Book marketing can take a lot of time and effort and I continually want to make sure I’m on the right path. With life, learning, and writing, I’m trying to manage my time better so I love it when I find loads of information on one post instead of finding a bit here and a piece there.
The post on the blog I found has a ton of information so I’m separating the book marketing ideas into eight different posts. Hopefully, once a week. Since I am #Backinschool my time is limited. Feel free to visit Author Media to read the whole post and get more great information. I’ve been using these lists and checking off what I already have and what I need to do.
As with anything else, I may not use all of this information and you may not either. But it is nice to have on hand.
Build your fan base:
- Start a FB campaign to increase your fans
- Start a Google Campaign to increase traffic to your site
- Start a controversial web series
- Link up with other writers for your controversial web series
- Start weekly twitter chats with readers
- Keyword your blog posts
- Create a monthly newsletter
- Create an affiliate program
- Host-guest bloggers
- Become a guest blogger
- Create business cards with your web address on them and hand them out
- Put your photo on your business card for stronger branding
- Start commenting on other blogs (early and often)
- Host regular author hangouts on Google+
- Host regular author interviews on Google+
- Record your Google+ hangouts and put them on YouTube
- Get social media coaching
I have ten of these. How many do you have?
- Start a Google Campaign to increase traffic to your site (I’ve done this, but I’m not sure how much it helped)
- Keyword your blog posts
- Create a monthly newsletter
- Host-guest bloggers
- Become a guest blogger
- Create business cards with your web address on them and hand them out
- Create a monthly newsletter (I’ve played with this idea, but can’t seem to get a monthly newsletter out.)
- Put your photo on your business card for stronger branding
- Start commenting on other blogs (early and often)
- Get social media coaching (Right now I’m taking a Digital Marketing class from #shawacademy to get the right ins and outs on social media. Most of social media is common sense, but there is so much more information out there that I haven’t stopped to consider or thought of.)
I also highly suggest using trackback links to help get more traffic to your blog.
*Also a note from me personally. I prefer to set up other people’s blog links to hook up to a new tab so I don’t constantly have to hit the back button to get back to where I started:)*
