I reblogged  a post on To KDP Select or not to KDP Select by Ashley Barron recently and had made up my mind that I was not going to leave Blake up on KDP Select. I would rather have my own give-aways and have my book available in many other formats.

Unbeknownst to me Amazon has a automatic renew KDP Select button, which was checked. I did not check it:) Apparently I didn’t uncheck it either:( So Blake will be in KDP Select for another 3 months. What can I say, I have been really busy lately. I knew my original 3 months were up soon and honestly thought I would get an email from them or the book would be dropped out of KDPS. I was wrong and didn’t do my research.

Will I put Blake up for free again? Most likely-after I hunt down those nasty misspellings:) If I am going to be stuck in KDPS for another 3 months I might as well use it.

Even though Blake has been edited more than 10 times, it has been brought to my attention that I still have a few minor edits to make. This has been on my to do list and I need to get to it, yesterday.

If any of you have bought Blake, keep an eye out for the update email from Amazon. They will let you know when the book has been re-edited.

Hi Lynn, I am somewhat in the same boat. I didn't know Amazon just keeps the book in the Select program. You have to go click a button? Anyway. I uploaded a new file a couple weeks after I changed some edits on Sandcastle and Other Stories, and Amazon did not email all the people who had bought the book to let them know they should upload the new version. Please let me know if this happens. I uploaded a new version by going to Manage Your Kindle and calling and speaking to someone from KDP directly because I couldn't figure out how to do it once I got to Manage Your Kindle. Wish you the best in your writing life.
